<p dir = "auto"><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p> <p dir = "auto">We are looking for a seasoned Director of Engineering to join our pre-opening leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark development from the ground up, shaping the engineering and facilities function from pre-opening through to full operations.</p> <p dir = "auto">The ideal candidate is a hospitality engineering leader with a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and proven experience in pre-opening resort or hotel projects.</p> <p dir = "auto">________________________________________</p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p dir = "auto">• Lead all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations during the pre-opening phase and beyond.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Work closely with the construction, design, and project teams to ensure engineering standards and systems are aligned with brand and safety requirements.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and engineering policies for all areas of the resort (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, fire safety systems, etc.).</p> <p dir = "auto">• Hire, train, and manage the engineering team to ensure smooth operations from day one.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Oversee energy management, sustainability efforts, and regulatory compliance.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Manage budgets, equipment procurement, and contractor/vendor relationships.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Support risk management initiatives, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety.</p> <p dir = "auto">________________________________________</p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p dir = "auto">• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in engineering or technical services within the hospitality industry.</p> <p dir = "auto">• At least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably as Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Pre-opening experience in resorts or hotels is highly preferred.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical/electrical infrastructure, and health & safety standards.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work collaboratively with various departments.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.</p> <p dir = "auto">• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.</p> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"></p>
