Role Purpose: To lead the design and engineering of mobile access network infrastructure, ensuring scalable, high?performance, and resilient radio and access network architecture that supports mobile service growth, 5G evolution, and superior customer experience. Position Information: Unit: Network Division: Network & Infrastructure Line Manager: Senior Manager Cloud & Network Design Minimum role requirements: Bachelor in relevant discipline Internal Applicants: 4 years of relevant experience. Years of experience in leadership will be an advantage External Applicants: 6 years of total experience. Years of experience in leadership will be an advantage Key Accountabilities: Lead design of mobile access networks across 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G technologies Define coverage, capacity, and quality design frameworks Ensure seamless integration with core and transport networks Translate traffic forecasts into radio network expansion plans Design coverage solutions for urban, rural, and enterprise environments Optimize cell density, spectrum utilization, and site placement Lead design readiness for 5G NSA / SA deployments Support small cells, private networks, and enterprise mobility solutions Enable low?latency and high?throughput service capabilities Integrate mobile access design with: (Transport transmission networks, Core network platforms, Edge and cloud infrastructure Ensure end?to?end service performance alignment Establish mobile access design standards and engineering policies Ensure compliance with regulatory, spectrum, and safety requirements Govern design approvals and documentation Design for optimal signal quality, throughput, and user experience Reduce interference and congestion risks Support QoS and service differentiation frameworks Support tower sharing, national roaming, and infrastructure partnerships Optimize site utilization and deployment cost efficiency Align with site design and infrastructure planning teams Provide technical inputs for mobile access expansion investments Support rollout prioritization based on demand and ROI Validate cost vs. coverage vs. capacity trade?offs Evaluate RAN vendors and technology solutions Support technical RFP processes and design validation Govern compliance during rollout execution Key Competencies: Leadership Assertiveness and Conflict Resolution Fostering Learning and Development Inspiring and Leading Others Leading Change and Cultivates Innovation Visioning and Alignment Behavioral Drives Achievements Ethics & Compliance Timely Decision - Making
