The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring pools and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and well-being of guests at all times. Daily tasks include supervising swimmers, enforcing pool rules, responding quickly and calmly to emergencies, and performing water rescues and first aid when needed. The role also involves conducting regular checks of pool facilities and equipment, reporting hazards, and ensuring cleanliness and basic maintenance of the pool area. The Lifeguard will interact with guests in a professional, welcoming manner, provide guidance on safe swimming practices, and collaborate with hotel colleagues to support an excellent guest experience.Qualifications Strong swimming ability and water safety skills, including certified lifeguard training from a recognized authority.Knowledge of first aid and CPR, with up-to-date certifications and a commitment to ongoing safety training.Ability to remain alert for extended periods, assess risk quickly, and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.Clear, courteous communication skills and the ability to explain safety rules to guests of varied backgrounds.Professional, guest-focused attitude with a commitment to Minor Hotels’ service standards and safety policies.Ability to work on-site in Muscat in varying weather conditions and follow scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.Previous lifeguard or poolside safety experience in hospitality or leisure environments is an advantage.Basic English proficiency required; additional language skills are beneficial.
