Job Title: Fund Manager - Real Estate Department: Asset Management Reporting to: Head of Real Estate Main Role (Overall Accountability) Be a part of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets team of Bank Muscat with a focus on investment management activities across Real Estate offerings/products in the Asset Management business. Execution responsibility for investments from deal origination and sourcing, researching, structuring, monitoring and disposition of Real Estate investments. Principal Accountabilities • Deal screening, site visits, research, financial modeling, review of contracts etc. to develop commercial term sheets for Real Estate investments on the basis of objectives of the fund and market requirements. • Financial modeling and due diligence for investment evaluation. • Preparation, co-ordination and follow up of investment proposals and deal presentations for approvals. • Interact with other advisors such as legal, accounting, technical etc. as may be required. • Deal negotiation and closure of approved investments. • Support in development of new relationships in the market to build pipeline. • Implement investment strategy for the portfolio including valuations and hold/sell decisions. • Assist in cultivation of relationships and communication with existing and prospective investors and the Fund Management Body. • Maintain and develop external vendor/partnering relationships to support real estate investment management activities. • Conceptualization of new products and supporting business development activities (new fund raising). • Monitoring of investments of the Fund. • Assist in development of investor communication on market outlook, fund strategy and performance. • Ensure maintenance of due records of all investment management activities in accordance with specified procedure. Personnel Specifications • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent. • Minimum 15 years' experience in private equity, investment management and/or advisory with good understanding of financial markets. • High analytical abilities. • Good written and oral communication skills in English. • Ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines. • Worked in multi-cultural environment.
