ROLE OBJECTIVE We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer specializing in CCTV and Access Control Systems (ACS) to lead end-to-end tendering and cost estimation activities for security and surveillance projects in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronic security systems, proven local market knowledge, an established network with multiple vendors/suppliers, and a track record of winning competitive bids.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete end-to-end estimation cycle for CCTV and Access Control System projects from tender/RFQ receipt, scope study, and site assessment through to final BOQ pricing and bid submission.Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to accurately identify technical and commercial requirements.Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and cost estimates for CCTV, ACS, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.Conduct site visits/surveys across Oman to validate scope, identify site constraints, and refine estimates accordingly.Source and obtain competitive quotations from multiple OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors; negotiate pricing and commercial terms.Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional vendors, distributors, and OEM partners (e.g., Hikvision, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, HID, Lenel, Genetec, and similar) active in the Oman market.Develop technical and commercial proposals, compliance statements, and clarifications in response to client/consultant queries during the tender stage.Apply strong knowledge of labor, installation, and material costing standards specific to the Omani construction and security industry.Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure estimates are technically sound and commercially competitive.Track tender submissions, follow up on bid outcomes, and maintain a record of historical pricing data and lessons learned to improve future bid accuracy.Support contract handover to the project execution team with accurate cost breakdowns and vendor commitments.Stay current with PACI, Royal Oman Police (ROP), Civil Defence, and other relevant local regulatory/approval requirements affecting security system design and costing.
