Assistant Professor (Engineering Mathematics)

Job Overview:
The College of Engineering at the University of Buraimi is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Engineering Mathematics. We are looking for an academic with a strong background in Engineering Mathematics to support our growing teaching and research activities, and to contribute to the advancement of discipline.
Responsibilities and Duties:
 Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Engineering Mathematics with a focus on but not limited to the following domains: Calculus, Differential Equations, Numerical Methods, Linear Algebra and Multivariate Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics.
 Engage in scholarly research and publications in Engineering Mathematics.
 Advise students on academic and career goals.
 Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop new programs and initiatives.
 Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
 Perform other duties as assigned by the program chair or the College Dean.

General Requirements:
 A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from a recognized university.
 At least two of university teaching experience
 A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 Strong organizational and time management skills
 Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements
 Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in higher education.
 Experience in the field or industry related to the department or program.

 التعاون مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين الآخرين لتطوير برامج ومبادرات جديدة.
 تقديم الخدمة للقسم والكلية والجامعة والمهنة.
 أداء أي مهام أخرى يكلفه بها مشرف البرنامج أو عميد الكلية.

المتطلبات العامة:
 درجة الدكتوراه في الرياضيات من جامعة معترف بها.
 خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في التدريس الجامعي
 سجل من التميز في التدريس والبحث العلمي والخدمة
 مهارات اتصال وتواصل ممتازة
 مهارات تنظيمية ومهارات إدارة الوقت
 معرفة معايير وإجراءات الاعتماد
 المعرفة بنظرية تنمية الطالب وأفضل الممارسات في التعليم العالي
 خبرة في المجال أو الصناعة المتعلقة بالقسم أو البرنامج
