Drilling EngineerSupport drilling engineering activities to deliver wells safely, efficiently and within budget. Provide technical support for well planning, drilling operations and project execution.RequirementsDegree in Engineering or relevant discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience as a Drilling Engineer.Minimum 5 years of experience or 5 completed projects in HPHPT / deepwater operations.Familiar with Oman water and facilities.Good drilling engineering and field experience.Good English communication skills.Valid OPITO-BOSIET certification.Knowledge of Landmark reporting system.Experience with drilling software such as Compass, WellPlan, WellCAT, StressCheck, OpenWells, Drillbench and WellBarrier.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Good communication, teamwork and vendor management skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Senior Drilling Engineer in well planning and drilling activities.Prepare well designs, drilling programs, budgets and AFE.Plan and schedule drilling activities safely and efficiently.Provide technical support during drilling operations.Monitor drilling performance and reduce NPT and operating costs.Review technical requirements and specifications for tender packages.Conduct rig inspections and acceptance tests.Ensure compliance with company HSE and drilling standards.Identify opportunities to improve drilling efficiency and apply new technology.Prepare Final Well Reports and conduct After Action Reviews.Provide guidance and support to junior drilling engineers.
