Job Title: Project Engineer Reports To: Project Manager / Engineering Manager Job Details • Number of Vacancies: 1 Position • Salary Range: OMR 500 – 620 per month • Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) Job Purpose The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering and technical projects. • Coordinate project activities with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and vendors. • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements. • Prepare project documentation, reports, specifications, drawings, and progress updates. • Review engineering designs, technical documents, and project deliverables. • Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals. • Conduct site inspections and supervise project implementation activities. • Identify project risks and support the development of mitigation plans. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. • Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations and solutions. • Assist with project testing, commissioning, handover, and closeout activities. • Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial, or related engineering discipline). ________________________________________ Experience • Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) • Internship or academic project experience in engineering or project coordination is an advantage. ________________________________________ Technical Skills • Basic knowledge of project management principles and methodologies. • Familiarity with project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera. • Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. • Basic knowledge of budgeting, cost control, risk management, and project reporting. • Awareness of engineering standards, quality systems, and safety regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. ________________________________________ Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and interpersonal abilities. • Willingness to learn and develop professionally. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong teamwork and coordination skills. • Attention to detail and commitment to quality. ________________________________________ Working Conditions • Office and site-based work environments. • May require travel to project sites and participation in inspections, meetings, and commissioning activities.
