Job Title: Mechanical Technician Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager Job Details • Number of Vacancies: 41 Positions • Salary Range: OMR 400 – 520 per month • Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) Job Purpose The Technical Maintenance Officer is responsible for supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The role involves assisting in troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and inspection of equipment and facility systems. • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults. • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as per schedule. • Support repair and replacement of faulty components. • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. • Report technical issues and maintenance requirements to supervisors. • Maintain maintenance logs and service records. • Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times. • Assist senior technicians and engineers in maintenance activities. • Ensure tools and equipment are properly used and maintained. Qualifications • Diploma only in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience • Practical Experience: 0 years (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.) Technical Skills • Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems. • Ability to use basic tools and maintenance equipment. • Knowledge of safety procedures in technical environments. • Basic ability to read technical manuals and instructions. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills. • Good communication and reporting skills. • Ability to work in field and operational environments. Working Conditions • Site-based and technical work environment. • May involve physical work and field operations. • Standard working hours with possible shift work depending on operations.
