The AMI/AMR Data Analyst is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of meter reading and billing data across the Advanced/Automated Meter Reading (AMI/AMR) systems. The role ensures that meter master data is correctly registered and maintained, investigates and resolves data anomalies and failed reads ahead of monthly billing cycles, and provides data-driven insight and backend system support to field, billing, and asset management teams in order to minimize revenue loss and improve overall data quality.Data Correction: Identifies, investigates, and corrects erroneous AMR/MMR masters, rejected records, and data anomalies before monthly billing submission.User Data Quality: Validates and takes proactive actions with field teams to stop the misunderstanding on data entry.Meter Data Registration / Updating the Masters: Processes new meter installations, replacements, and removals across all backend systems to maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset master register.Failed team planning: Coordinates planning for the resolution of failed or non-communicating meters, ensuring field teams have clear action plans to address backlogs monthly.Users System Backend Support: Provides backend technical support to team members for system access queries, data extraction requests, and operational system issues.Asset Data Reconciliation: Reconciling the data and tracking the water meter and material assets on the project.Reporting & KPI Dashboards: Prepares and maintains periodic reports and dashboards on meter reading rates, data completeness, failed/non-communicating meter volumes, and backlog resolution progress for management review.Pre-Billing Data Validation: Runs validation checks and exception reports on consumption and billing-determinant data prior to submission, flagging outliers, negative/zero consumption, and estimation cases for review.Head-End / MDM System Support: Supports configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of the AMI head-end system and Meter Data Management (MDM) platform, including data imports/exports and integration checks with the billing system.Root Cause & Trend Analysis: Analyzes recurring meter failures, communication drop-outs, and data anomalies to identify root causes and recommends corrective or preventive actions to field and technical teams.Data Governance & Documentation: Maintains data quality procedures, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries, and ensures compliance with data governance standards and audit requirements.Stakeholder Coordination: Liaises with billing, GIS, IT, and field operations teams to align on data standards, resolve cross-functional data issues, and support ad-hoc data requests.
