Job Title: Data Analytics Specialist
Department: Human Resources

Main Role (Overall Accountability)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Analytics Specialist to elevate our HR data capabilities and champion data-driven decision-making within the HR function. Given our current early stage of data maturity, this role will be instrumental in building robust data processes, establishing data governance, and developing powerful dashboards and analytics tools in relevant platforms. You will be a key driver in transforming our HR function into a data-driven operation, delivering insights that directly impact HR strategy and outcomes

Principal Accountabilities
• Data Strategy Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of an HR data strategy to advance data maturity and enable data-driven decision-making within HR
• Data Capability Development: Build and enhance data management practices, establish data governance frameworks, and implement standard data quality processes across the HR function.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for HR, creating insightful reports to inform strategic decision making across the function.
• Advanced Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design complex and insightful dashboards, reports and visualizations, translating HR data into actionable insights for senior leaders.
• Data Integration & Architecture: Work with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate data from relevant HR systems, ensuring cohesive data architecture and consistency.
• Analytical Insight Generation: Analyze and interpret complex HR data, identifying trends and key insights on areas such as workforce planning, employee engagement, turnover, recruitment, and performance.
• Mentorship & Capability Building: Train and mentor HR team members in data literacy, dashboard usage, and data-driven practices to foster an analytics culture within
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current with trends in HR analytics and data visualization, implementing best practices and tools to drive ongoing improvement in HR data capabilities.

Personnel Specifications
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Experience:
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in HR analytics, data management, business intelligence, or related roles, with a proven track record of maturing data capabilities in organizations.

Technical Skills:
• Expert proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, etc).
• Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, and data manipulation.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data integration and data governance
• Familiarity with HR data systems (HRIS,) and the ability to optimize data flows.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to handle and interpret complex data sets, creating insights that drive HR and business outcomes.
• Communication & Influence: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience leading data-related projects from conception to implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in an organization undergoing a data transformation or building analytics capabilities from a foundational level
• Knowledge of data governance, data architecture, and best practices in data quality management.
• Certification in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platform; knowledge of data governance tools is a plus.
