Duties and Responsibilities 1. General Operational Duties Carry out routine farm and site operations including pond preparation, stocking, feeding support, sampling, harvesting, and cleaning activities. Follow all operational procedures, biosecurity measures, and hygiene standards across assigned sections. Operate and assist in the routine use of farm and processing equipment such as aerators, pumps, blowers, filters, and basic tools. Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, tanks, ponds, and processing sections. Adhere strictly to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and report unsafe conditions immediately. 2. GOP (Grow-Out Ponds) Operations Assist in pond preparation activities such as cleaning, liming, fertilizing, and water filling. Support feeding operations and daily pond monitoring as instructed. Assist during sampling, growth checks, and health observation of shrimp. Support harvesting activities, including preparation of nets, equipment, and pond areas. 3. Hatchery & Nursery Operations Assist in cleaning, preparation, and maintenance of hatchery and nursery tanks. Support routine activities related to larvae and post-larvae handling under supervision. Assist in water quality checks and basic monitoring activities. Support acclimatization, transfer, and preparation of PLs from hatchery to nursery or grow-out ponds. Maintain hygiene and biosecurity within hatchery and nursery facilities. 4. Processing Plant (PP) Support Assist in basic processing operations as assigned by the supervisor. Support cleaning, sanitation, and preparation of processing areas and equipment. Assist in grading, weighing, packing, and handling of shrimp in accordance with hygiene and quality standards. Follow food safety and hygiene procedures strictly during processing activities. 5. Records & Reporting Assist in recording daily operational data such as feeding, harvesting quantities, basic water parameters, and work activities. Report any abnormalities, equipment issues, or operational concerns to the supervisor promptly. Skills & Competencies Basic technical and operational knowledge of farm or processing activities. Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines accurately. Physically fit and able to work in outdoor farm and processing environments. Team-oriented with a cooperative attitude and willingness to learn. Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and during peak operational periods. Qualifications & Education Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Science, Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, or a related discipline is mandatory. Experience Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in shrimp farming, aquaculture operations, hatchery, nursery, grow-out ponds, or processing plant activities. Practical site-based experience in farm operations will be given preference. Fresh graduates with strong practical experience, including internships, in aquaculture or marine science may be considered.
