As an Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to how engineering disciplines support safe, efficient, and reliable energy delivery. bp has a strong presence in Oman, working on complex and innovative energy projects. Our Engineering teams play a key role in production management, asset integrity, and reliability, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement. Role overview As an Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to a range of engineering activities across bp’s operations, including production management, equipment reliability, and asset performance. During the internship, you will work alongside experienced engineers, support day-to-day activities and contributing to real business tasks. This may include exposure to production performance monitoring, maintenance planning, and technical analysis. You will also support data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, building a practical understanding of how engineering functions contribute to operational excellence. Key responsibilities Support engineering activities across production and operations Assist in data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation Contribute to equipment reliability and maintenance initiatives Participate in performance monitoring and process improvement Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement efforts Collaborate with teams to ensure safe and effective delivery of work Who we’re looking for Students in years 3 and 4 of undergraduate studies Studying Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Chemical, Civil, Petroleum, Engineering, Materials science or related disciplines Minimum GPA of 2.8 Omani nationality (citizenship required) Strong interest in engineering and energy operations Good analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Proactive mindset and willingness to learn What you’ll gain Exposure to bp’s engineering and operations environment Practical experience in asset performance and reliability Development of technical and professional skills Foundation for future graduate opportunities Important:?
