Role & responsibilities CBT Welding inspector with experience in offshore structure fabrication in onshore yard Job Title: CBT Welding Inspector Third Party Inspection (TPI) Location: Oman (Onshore Fabrication Yard Offshore Structures) Industry: Oil & Gas / Offshore / Third Party Inspection Job Summary The CBT Welding Inspector (TPI) will act as an independent third-party representative to ensure that all welding and fabrication activities for offshore structures are executed in full compliance with client specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements. The role involves unbiased inspection, verification, and reporting to the client.Key ResponsibilitiesNDT Coordination Witness and validate NDT activities such as RT, UT, MT, and PT. Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria compliance.Documentation & Reporting Review and endorse QA/QC documentation including: Welding procedures (WPS/PQR) Inspection reports Material traceability records Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and submit to client/TPI agency. Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to: AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, ISO standards, Client specifications and project requirements Verify material identification and traceability.Stakeholder Coordination Interface with contractor QA/QC, client representatives, and project team. Provide technical clarification and inspection feedback.
