Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesThe Project Field Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, monitoring, and control of all field activities during project execution. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution of works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. The position is primarily field-based and acts as the link between contractors and the Project Manager to ensure effective execution and issue resolution.Main responsibilities:HSE and Work ControlEnsure safe execution of all project activities and promote a strong safety culture at site.Monitor contractor compliance with company HSE requirements, PTW systems, and risk assessments.Participate in toolbox talks, safety observations, and incident investigations.Ensure adequate barricading, housekeeping, and safe work practices are always maintained.Verify that approved method statements and risk assessments are implemented in the field.Site Execution and SupervisionProvide continuous field supervision of all construction activities.Monitor, control installation of piping, cabling, instrumentation, equipment, steel structures, platforms, supports etc. to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.Coordinate and supervise contractors' manpower, equipment, and resources to maximize productivity.Ensure proper alignment, fit-up, leveling, and workmanship during installation.Monitor lifting activities and critical jobs to ensure compliance with approved lifting plans and safety requirements.Organize hydrotests, pressure tests, flushing, mechanical completion, and loop testing activities.Daily Monitoring and ReportingMonitor and develop daily progress reports and identify delays or constraints and communicate issues requiring management interventionEnsure work fronts are available and proactively remove execution obstacles.Escalate technical, material, manpower, or safety issues affecting progress.Coordinate with Project Engineers and other disciplines to resolve site issues promptly.Verify material traceability and ensure approved materials are used.Identify and rectify construction deficiencies and punch points.Witness equipment installation and ensure vendor recommendations are followed.Coordinate field activities with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and process teams to avoid conflicts.Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for tie-ins, isolations, and plant interfaces.Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.Material and Resource ManagementVerify material availability prior to execution.Monitor consumption of materials and ensure proper handling and storage with record keeping.Documentation and CompletionPrepare and verify red-line markups and as-built information generated from field changes.Support preparation of dossiers and punch lists.Ensure all work packages are completed and handed over properly.Assist in close-out activities and final acceptance.Key Challenges:Managing multiple contractors and subcontractors simultaneously.Maintaining safety and quality standards while achieving schedule commitments.Handling site constraints and unforeseen issues during execution.Coordination with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process departments.Maintaining effective communication among all stakeholders.Working under shutdown and time-critical environments.Managing multiple priorities and resolving field issues in real time.Ensuring construction quality while maintaining productivity and safety.
