DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Report to duty and leave on time. Ensure Guests are aware of all services and activities available at the pool. Check the chemical levels in swimming pools, and steam rooms and ensure its in the required level at the standard prior to guests using the pool. Regularly check the temperature of the pool to ensure they are at set standard. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service. Provide a high level of guest satisfaction and safety through effective communication. Welcome the guest and assistance them with pool towel, escort them to the sun lounge Brief every guest using the pool with rule and regulation and ensure guest follow it. Ensure swimming pool surrounding area its clean and will presented. Constantly Monitor swimming activities for all the guests at the pool area and ensure they are safe Ensure the sun loungers are clean, umbrellas are in working shape and, in the correct position and proper working condition. Ensure that the umbrellas are fixed properly to their units and ensure that when the umbrellas are not in use they are tidied down for safety precaution. Palace extra attention to children, elderly and disabled guests to ensure they are safe. Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance. Observe the swimming are for dangerous conditions, unusual or safe activities and swimmers who are struggling. Caution swimmers regarding unsafe areas. Rescue swimmer in danger of drowning and administer first aid. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager, attend and complete safety training and certifications as required by the management. Always follow company policies and procedures and proper grooming and personal appearance to be maintained. Monitor pool from lifeguard chair. Do not leave pools unattended. Assist risk & security team to cover unattended shift Assist in setting up and running of any special events. Put up umbrellas in morning, put down at night. Collect the towels at the pool and place in the laundry and coordinate deliver of towels to laundry. Report any defects, breakages to supervisor. Assist and cooperate with other hotel departments, managers and staff. Treat all guests and staff in a polite friendly manner. Any other duties deemed appropriate by managers. Make yourself familiar with all company rules regulations and emergency procedures. Attend training course as directed. Any changes you have for the duty rota must be given 7 clear days in advance. Portray the hotel/ company in a positive manner. Fully responsible for the health club facilities in hotel (pool area /steam/gym/) Self Management Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook. Comply with company grooming and uniform standards. Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development. Contribute to Recreations Departmental Meetings Customer Service Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to include: Being attentive to guests Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest requests Understand and anticipate guest needs Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers. Be able to promote the hotel products and services. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about our brand hotels. Health Safety & Security Operate equipment using procedures learnt during training to company standards. Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures. Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager. General Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times. Familiarize yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviors that we expect all employees to display. .Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
