Finland Oman School is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher to join our international school community. We are looking for an educator who is committed to supporting students with learning difficulties through inclusive and student-centered educational practices aligned with the school’s values and IB philosophy.

Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Muscat, Oman
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary
The SEN Teacher supports students with identified learning difficulties by designing personalized educational programs that promote inclusion, development, and student success. The teacher works closely with staff, parents, and support professionals to ensure students receive appropriate academic and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess student needs and develop appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s learning profile.
• Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to support inclusive learning practices.
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress regularly.
• Modify learning materials and classroom approaches to suit individual student needs.
• Work closely with parents, therapists, and other professionals to support student development.
• Participate in student support meetings and planning sessions.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers on inclusive education practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
• Follow school safeguarding, student welfare, and inclusion policies.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, school events, and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor of Education in Learning Difficulties.
OR
• Bachelor of Education with an Academic Diploma in Learning Difficulties of not less than one academic year.
• IELTS minimun score of 6

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support diverse student learning needs in an inclusive environment.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• IB or international school experience is an advantage.

Working Conditions
• Full-time position based on the academic calendar.
• 5 working days per week.
• Flexibility to attend meetings, workshops, and school events when required.
