Job Summary: The HSSE Supervisor is responsible for implementing and monitoring HSSE requirements at the RO desalination plant, ensuring full compliance with VA Tech Wabag standards and Nama Group regulations. The role is client-facing, requiring regular coordination, reporting, and engagement with client representatives to maintain high HSSE performance. Key Responsibilities: · Act as the primary HSSE interface with Nama Group and client representatives on site · Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and regulatory requirements · Monitor daily operations, maintenance, and contractor activities for safe execution · Conduct HSSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments (JSA/JHA) · Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and timely reporting to management and client · Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing HSSE training · Develop HSSE method statements for routine and unplanned works as and when required · Enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices across all teams · Support and coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and crisis management · Ensure environmental compliance (brine disposal, chemical handling, waste management) · Maintain HSSE documentation, reports, and KPI tracking for client review · Promote a strong HSSE culture and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience: · Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety · 3+ years of HSSE experience in desalination, water treatment, or industrial plants · Prior experience working on client-facing roles with utilities or government entities would be preferable · Strong knowledge of PTW systems, LOTO, confined space, and work at height requirements · Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards Skills & Competencies: · Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. · Good report writing and incident investigation capability · Ability to influence safe behavior across multicultural workforce · Proactive, detail-oriented, and assertive in enforcing HSSE compliance
