Position within the organisational structure.
The Construction Supervisor reports to Construction Team lead in ARA E&P. The mandate of the role is individual contributor. Laterally he, she will be on par with the Project Engineer. The key interfaces are the field based Field Manager, within the office based Production team, Well Services, the Engineering team and the Wells Department.

Due to the relative small size of the operation, the successful candidate will have to master two disciplines:

Construction ( projects).

The responsibilities within below headlines are:
Safety

Ensure that field activities are executed in compliance with ARA E&P policies and procedures.
Follow-up on near misses and incidents related to maintenance and construction work - and propose and implement initiatives to eliminate reoccurrence.
Pro-actively propose and implement safety initiatives that reduces the risk to maintenance and construction workers.

Environment

Ensure that jobs are executed with minimum environmental impact.

Construction

Prepare and execute minor construction jobs and closely monitoring cost, performance, and quality. Ensure that the implemented projects are commissioned as per design specification and is safely handed over to the Production Supervisor.
Follow up of well pad & Access Road construction
Ensure Quality of the work
Follow up Flowline / hook up construction
Ensure hook up ready for well before Rig move out.

Planning

Provide input to the 30 days and 90 days operational activity plan.
90 days Planning ahead for flow line route, materials and rescourses.

Reporting

Provide input to the Daily Construction Report
Provide input to the weekly Construction Report

Tenders, budget and cost control

Prepare cost estimates for the budget.
Participate in tender evaluations.
Track expenditure on operational projects.

Project Engineer is expected to regularly visit the field to support the execution of specific jobs. Similarly, the candidate shall participate from time-to-time in field audits. The Engineer shall be part of the office-based weekend duty roaster. The Maintenance / Construction Engineer shall also provide specialist support to inter-departmental studies. Finally, the Engineer shall dedicate to coaching of junior professionals.
