<p>Role Purpose:</p>
<p>Managing a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors of key CIB Banking</p>
<p>Relationships within the Oman coverage team. To provide pro-active support in</p>
<p>deepening client relationships and improving income generation through focused</p>
<p>business development activities, including managing the portfolio of clients</p>
<p>independently.</p>
<p>In this role, you will:</p>
<p> Contribute to the continued development of the CIB Banking and specifically</p>
<p>sector strategy. The client base comprises some of the country leading in various</p>
<p>sectors such as Chemicals, Telco, Aviation, Oil and Gas sector to list the main</p>
<p>ones.</p>
<p> Ensure prompt and appropriate response to customer enquiries and concerns by</p>
<p>problem solving and facilitating the process by liaising with product and support</p>
<p>areas</p>
<p> Work with line manager and the Team Leader in identifying strategies to maintain</p>
<p>/enhance overall relationship return, increase revenues while optimizing the</p>
<p>utilization of credit facilities, and ensure early identification of potential credit</p>
<p>issues</p>
<p> Provide general support to the Team Leader in servicing client relationships and</p>
<p>enhancing income generation.</p>
<p> Manage and develop a portfolio of own clients by deepening client relationships</p>
<p>and improving income generation through focused business development</p>
<p>activities</p>
<p> Work with the Business Credit Office on the preparation of structured and</p>
<p>focused credit memorandums for clients within the sectors, covering annual</p>
<p>reviews and new money proposals</p>
<p> Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules,</p>
<p>regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which</p>
<p>the jobholder is involved.</p>
<p> Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of</p>
<p>internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external</p>
<p>regulators.</p>

<p> Develop strong sectorial/product expertise and provide high quality competitor</p>
<p>and client level analysis to support business development and credit risk</p>
<p>assessment</p>
<p> Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager, or as agreed in</p>
<p>annual objectives, in support of achieving the business objectives CIB Banking</p>
<p> Liaise with members of the client service team, ensuring a co-ordinated approach</p>
<p>to enhancing the client relationship.</p>
<p> Engage with relevant product teams including GPS, GTS, FX, etc to ensure</p>
<p>coordinated approach towards achieving relationship development objectives.</p>
<p> Develop strong bonds with the decision makers of your own client portfolio</p>
<p> Work diligently with Credit Risk Management to present written</p>
<p>recommendations and manage risk</p>
<p> Proactively and effectively manage financial crime risk in team portfolio. Work</p>
<p>closely with FCC to resolve all queries and issues that might arise from time to</p>
<p>time.</p>
<p> Co-ordinate closely with the Banking Middle Office (BMO) to ensure new account</p>
<p>on-boarding queries are addressed quickly and the on-boarding process is</p>
<p>completed in a timely manner.</p>
<p> Live and represent the HSBC Brand and Values both internally and externally</p>
<p> Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values</p>
<p>and business principles.</p>
<p> Take an active role in initiatives outside of own role; proactively seeking different</p>
<p>assignments to accelerate learning.</p>
<p> Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders.</p>
<p> Manage Deals and Pipeline transactions within ClientVision to ensure that the</p>
<p>transaction data and status are accurately reflected</p>
<p> Monitor income generation and effectively manage the financial reporting and</p>
<p>analysis for the client portfolio</p>
<p>To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:</p>
<p> Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants</p>
<p> Strong business development, financial analysis and analytical skills</p>
<p> Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, clients and products</p>
<p>and provide a high-quality analysis of Credit risk</p>
<p> Ability to develop good working partnerships with credit, client management and</p>
<p>product teams</p>
<p> Ability to provide strong analytical and marketing support to Relationship</p>
<p>Managers</p>
<p> Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)</p>
<p> Knowledge of the full spectrum of CIB products and services</p>

<p> Robust understanding of Financial Crime Risk Management</p>
<p> Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p>
<p> Strong team player and demonstrate a high level of attention to details, strong</p>
