JOB PURPOSE The IT & Digitalization Manager is responsible for leading the plant's information technology infrastructure, operational technology (OT), cybersecurity, industrial automation integration, and digital transformation initiatives within budgeted costs and timelines. The role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of all IT and digital systems supporting mining, crushing, grinding, flotation, filtration, tailings management, maintenance, laboratory, security and business operations.Develop and execute the plant digitalization roadmap and identify opportunities for process optimization using digital technologies by promoting a data-driven culture across departments. MAIN TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IT STRATEGY & OPERATIONS • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate the Company's IT and electronic data operations. • Ensure high availability and reliability of mission-critical systems • Manage IT service providers and external vendors • Analyze technology requirements and develop functional specifications, conducting comparative analysis and competitive bidding where necessary. • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner. • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy. • Demonstrate the ability to bring the benefits of IT to solve business issues while managing associated costs and risks. • Support and integrate OT systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC, Process historians, Instrument communications) INFRASTRUCTURE & SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT • Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization’s local area network hardware and software. • Implement, administer, and maintain databases, enterprise systems and cloud services. • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software. • Manage technology inventory, including procurement and disposal. • Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. • Maintain technology documents and certificates, including product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, and service contracts, ensuring they are evaluated, updated, and processed on time. INFORMATION & CYBER SECURITY • Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems. • Preserve Company assets, information security, and control structures. • Develop and maintain IT/OT cybersecurity framework and lead cyber incident response and recovery activities. • Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of data and information pertaining to the organization. • Prepare, maintain, and regularly test a technology disaster recovery plan. • Maintain OT network security and system availability and Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and audits DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & ANALYTICS • Develop and execute the digital transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives. • Lead implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies including IoT, AI, Machine Learning, Digital Twins, and Smart Mining solutions. • Establish enterprise data governance and reporting standards. • Drive adoption of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and advanced analytics platforms. • Identify opportunities to improve plant throughput, recovery, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency through digital technologies. • Support predictive maintenance and condition monitoring initiatives. PEOPLE & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT • Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising performance. • Assist staff in understanding and using technology; conduct regular staff technology presentations and training sessions. • Communicate effectively with, and understand the needs of, non-technical internal clients. GOVERNANCE & DOCUMENTATION • Maintain the technology policies, standards, and procedures manual, along with related technology checklists. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field — required. • Master’s degree in information technology or related field is an added advantage Certifications (Preferred): • Relevant professional certification in IT (CISSP, CISM, CAP, ITIL, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Power BI Data Analyst are desirable. Experience: • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role is required and 5 years in leadership role • Good knowledge of managing ERP systems. • Demonstrated ability to bring the benefits of IT to solve business issues while managing costs and risks. Technical Skills: • Computer hardware and software systems and programs. • Computer networks, network administration, and network installation. • Computer troubleshooting and technology integration. • Excellent experience in VMware, network, firewall, and backup solutions. • Skilled at identifying and evaluating new technological developments and gauging their appropriateness for the business. • Understanding of existing and emerging technologies and system integration. • Business Understanding: This position requires a high level of business understanding. Soft Skills: • Strong people management skills, including training, coaching, and performance management. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage central Information System resources and applications and coordinate departmental/divisional resources and initiatives. • Ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget. • Strong project management skills — planning, prioritizing, and administering work. • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
