Lecturer (Architectural Engineering)

Job Overview:
The College of Engineering at the University of Buraimi invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Lecturer in Architectural Engineering. We are seeking an innovative, research-driven academic with a strong background in Architectural Engineering.
The successful candidate will contribute to advancing the college’s teaching and research missions and be actively involved in curriculum development, student supervision, and collaborative research.
Responsibilities and Duties:
 Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Architectural Engineering with a focus on but not limited to the following domains: Computer Applications in Architecture, Perspective and Visual Design, History and Theory of Architecture, Architectural Analysis and Criticism, Urban Planning and Design, Illumination and Acoustics, Architectural Design, etc.
 Engage in scholarly research and publications in Architectural Engineering.
 Advise students on academic and career goals.
 Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop new programs and initiatives.
 Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
 Perform other duties as assigned by the program chair or the College Dean.

General Requirements:
 A BSc and MSc degrees in Architectural Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university.
 At least two years of teaching experience.
 A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 Strong organizational and time management skills
 Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements
 Knowledge of student development theory and best practices in higher education.
 Experience in the field or industry related to the department or program.

 المشاركة في البحوث العلمية والمنشورات في الهندسة المعمارية.
 تقديم المشورة للطلاب بشأن الأهداف الأكاديمية والمهنية.
 التعاون مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين الآخرين لتطوير برامج ومبادرات جديدة.
 تقديم الخدمة للقسم والكلية والجامعة والمهنة.
 أداء أي مهام أخرى يكلفه بها مشرف البرنامج أو عميد الكلية.

المتطلبات العامة:
 درجة البكالوريوس والماجستير في الهندسة المعمارية أو مجال وثيق الصلة من جامعة معترف بها.
 خبرة تدريسية لا تقل عن سنتين.
 سجل من التميز في التدريس والبحث العلمي والخدمة.
 مهارات ممتازة في التواصل والتعامل مع الآخرين.
 مهارات تنظيمية ومهارات إدارة الوقت.
 معرفة معايير وإجراءات الاعتماد الأكاديمي.
 المعرفة بنظرية تنمية الطالب وأفضل الممارسات في التعليم العالي.
 خبرة في المجال أو الصناعة المتعلقة بالقسم أو البرنامج.
