<p dir = "auto"><strong>Job Title: </strong>Treasury Accountant </p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Location:</strong> Muscat, Sultanate of Oman </p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Reporting To: </strong>Finance Manager</p> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Definition:</strong></p> <p dir = "auto">To efficiently manage the treasury function of Karwa Motors, a Treasury Accountant performs a wide range of job duties and responsibilities. The accountant will be in custody of the cash and cash equivalents inflows and outflows of Karwa Motors businesses. The international trade finance will be fully handled by the Treasury accountant. Liquidity management for Karwa Motors will be the primary function.</p> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p dir = "auto">1. Opening and closing of bank account with proper approval from management </p> <p dir = "auto">2. Treasury Accountant reconciles the cash collected and expenses and updates the cash status report and reconciles with bank and ledger balances. </p> <p dir = "auto">3. To properly do bank reconciliations are preparations, review & get them approved on monthly basis.</p> <p dir = "auto">4. Authorized bank signatories’ maintenance and maintain and manage all financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers.</p> <p dir = "auto">5. To maintain good bank credit ratings, Fixed Deposits and Loan Management</p> <p dir = "auto">6. Bank relationship management</p> <p dir = "auto">7. To issue credit cards with the approval of Finance Manager & CEO</p> <p dir = "auto">8. To maintain the Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee processes, approvals, accounting and recording of these facilities</p> <p dir = "auto">9. To engage with the banks for short term loans, credit facilities, applications of such, recoding and reporting of the same.</p> <p dir = "auto">10. To maintain the financial covenants guidelines prescribed by the bank for all the credit facilities given to Karwa Motors or other third parties on behalf of Karwa Motors. These include Interest ratios, Debt ratios, liquidity ratios etc. Thus, Responsible for interest and debt analysis, with provision of relevant information and report.</p> <p dir = "auto">11. To develop the procedures, process flow and policies of the bank guarantees, LCs and all cash equivalents applications, usage and reporting of such in Karwa Motors.</p> <p dir = "auto">12. Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements where applicable</p> <p dir = "auto">13. Development of risk mitigation strategies, including foreign exchange risk strategies</p> <p dir = "auto">14. Support the month end process as necessary as possible.</p> <p dir = "auto">15. Maintain and update fixed assets register in compliance with accounting standards</p> <p dir = "auto">16. Record acquisition, disposal, transfers, and impairments accurately and in timely manner and monitors capital work in progress and ensure capitalization upon project completion</p> <p dir = "auto">17. Ensure proper assets tagging and physical verification on a periodical basis</p> <p dir = "auto">18. Calculate the depreciation and ensure proper monthly entries.</p> <p dir = "auto">19. Coordinate with insurance providers for timely renewal of insurance for all fixed assets.</p> <p dir = "auto">20. Maintain proper documentation of all insurance policies and claims</p> <p dir = "auto">21. Review insurance coverage regularly to ensure adequacy and compliance with company policy and liaise with departments and brokers for valuation and risk assessment of insurable assets.</p> <p dir = "auto">22. Any other works related to CAPEX for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.</p> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Qualifications, Skills & Experience: </strong></p> <ul dir="auto"> <li>Understanding and experience of Treasury Accounting including foreign exchange, liquidity, cashflow and various Financial Instruments</li> <li>Solid understanding of accounting principles</li> <li>Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.</li> <li>Good understanding of financial instruments and debt</li> <li>Strong knowledge of banking relationships and covenants</li> <li>Exposure to the international trade finance</li> </ul> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Qualification and Experience: </strong></p> <ul dir="auto"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting /Semi ACCA/Commerce or Economics/ Credit management</li> <li>Minimum of <ins>3 – 5 years’ experience</ins> in Finance Dept. </li> </ul> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul dir="auto"> <li>Omani National</li> <li>Experience/ exposure to International Trade Finance</li> </ul> <p dir = "auto"></p> <p dir = "auto"><strong>Personnel:</strong></p> <ul dir="auto"> <li>Driven and self-motivated. </li> <li>Must be able to work independently with minimal direction, take initiative, maintain relationships, and work effectively and collaboratively at all levels of the organization. </li> <li>Good oral and written communication skills. </li> <li>Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail. </li> <li>Effectively change to work tasks and the work environment. </li> <li>A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments. </li> <li>Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance. </li> </ul>
