Areas of responsibility include front office, business center, recreation/health club, housekeeping, food and beverage/culinary, and engineering/maintenance. The position works closely with department heads to develop and implement operational strategies, ensuring full execution of Marriott brand standards, service excellence, and key brand initiatives. The director of operations is responsible for ensuring that all hotel operations meet brand standards, exceed guest expectations, enhance employee engagement, drive revenue growth, and maximize departmental financial performance while maintaining positive owner relations. The role develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver exceptional products and services, providing a strong return on investment. The ideal candidate must possess a strong food and beverage background with proven operational leadership experience. Previous resort experience is highly preferred, particularly within luxury or upscale resort environments. Experience working within the GCC region is essential, with a thorough understanding of regional market dynamics, guest preferences, and hospitality operations. Additional Candidate Profile Requirements Strong food and beverage operational background with demonstrated success in leading multi-department hotel operations. Previous resort experience preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of senior operational leadership experience in the GCC hospitality market. Proven track record in driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, financial performance, and owner relations. Marriott brand experience is an advantage. Pre-opening resort experience is highly desirable. Leisure experience and Oman local market experience or GCC experience are preferred.
