JOB PURPOSE: The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and continuously improving manufacturing and production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations. The role focuses on achieving operational excellence through process design, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and implementation of improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Strategic: • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and HSE teams to align process performance with business objectives. • Contribute to process design, capacity planning, and optimization to support current and future production demands. • Support management in identifying continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities. Operational: • Develop, review, and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and operating procedures. • Monitor and analyze process performance indicators to identify deviations and implement corrective actions. • Troubleshoot process related issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead sustainable solutions. • Support commissioning, start up, and stabilization of new or modified processes. • Ensure processes comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. • Prepare mass and energy balances, process calculations, and technical documentation. • Support production teams with technical guidance to improve yield, efficiency, and reliability. • Participate in Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, and risk assessment studies. • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during process modifications and improvement projects. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Experience • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Process Engineer in industrial or manufacturing environments. • Experience in process design, optimization, commissioning, and continuous improvement. • Fluency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is an advantage. Technical Competencies: • Strong knowledge of industrial process operations • Process modeling and data analysis skills • Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs, and technical drawings • Root cause analysis and problem solving • Familiarity with HAZOP, MOC, and safety systems • Proficiency in process simulation and MS Office tools
