Position Title: Instructor/Lecturer (OMANI NATIONALS)
Area: English
Salary and rank: Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
Appointment type: Academic Full Time Reserved only for OMANI nationals
Starting Date: The preferred start date for successful candidates to join is 1st September 2026
Responsibilities and Expectations
The Instructor/Lecturer will be part of the Academic department with the following responsibilities.
1. Teaching undergraduate-level courses
2. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and research productivity
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to develop and deliver new learning methods with the ability to foster a student-centered learning environment
5. Willingness to contribute to departmental and centre services such as serving on committees, any other services related to the centre, as well as participating in student advising.
6. Proficiency in relevant technologies and passion for educational innovation

Eligibility Conditions for Instructor/Lecturer: The candidate should:
To be eligible for the position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
1. Must be Omani National
2. The candidate’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in the same field of study specialization as that of the advertised job.
3. The bachelor’s degree GPA is not less than 2.5 on a 4-point scale.
4. The master’s degree GPA is not less than 3.2 on a 4-point scale.
5. Candidates must have at least two years of higher education teaching experience in English at recognized institutions of higher education.
6. In case of no teaching experience the candidate should have a valid minimum IELTS (academic) score of 6.5
7. The candidate should be under 45 years of age as of the appointment date.
