You'll be the first and last impression for our guests, providing helpful information, personalized service, and a warm, professional demeanor throughout their stay. General responsibility Communicate in a friendly, tactful, and professional manner with guests, suppliers, as well as colleagues. Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel's service, or reputation. Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel's grooming standards. Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area, and/or roster to meet business needs. Be understanding, supportive, encouraging, and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues. Care about your work environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained. Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time. Know your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire, etc. Understand the employee handbook and comply with the standards it outlines. Carry out all professionally reasonable instructions given by your superior. Ensure storeroom is clean and organized. Technical expertise Maintain a friendly, neat, and pleasant image to the guests. Be able to handle any queries from Alila Link members. Be able to handle mail and messages. Be tactful to guests' complaints, requests, and enquiries. Assist at valet parking. Assist in daily check-in and check-out luggage movement. Record all suggestions and comments from guests. Be fully conversant with the hotel's facilities and services. Provide guests with up-to-date hotel information and events. Be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel, cordially greet all arriving and departing guests, open the hotel doors for them, as well as help them out of or into their car. Understand all hotel promotion activities, e.g. special packages, Alila Link, etc. Provide security and privacy of guests by keeping all guest information confidential unless otherwise instructed by guests. Assist guests with check-in and check-out and carry their luggage to or from their rooms. Maintain good traffic flow and keep the driveway free of traffic and accessible for incoming vehicles. Escort guests to their rooms and explain all services provided by the hotel such as restaurants, fitness center, etc., and assist them with room changes. Maintain an active presence in the lobby. Ensure the storeroom for luggage is well kept at all times. Unload luggage from vehicles and carry luggage from bell desk to the front door when needed. Maintain high standards of personal and work area appearance and hygiene at all times, and keep a good rapport and working relationship with colleagues of all departments. Greet and assist guests with maximum courtesy and attention during their stay. Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through personal recognition and prompt cordial attention throughout their stays. Contribute to overall operational efficiency by performing other relevant duties assigned. Ensure welcome drink and Omani coffee are prepared daily based on arrival. Ensure cold towels are prepared for guest arrival and departure. Provide information about local recreational destinations. Perform all activities and duties assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods. Professional appearance and positive attitude.
