<p>Job Contents:</p> <p>The Operability Chief Engineer is a senior leader focused on grid reliability and stability amidst high Renewable Energy Source (RES) penetration. The role involves developing operational plans and contingency scenarios specifically designed for intermittent generation, and directing the implementation of advanced control systems to manage these challenges. This leader ensures operational excellence by optimizing the provision and integration of ancillary services through performance data analysis, while also formulating a short-term and Long-term strategic vision for the evolving power system.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Oversee the development of robust operational plans and detailed contingency scenarios specifically addressing the variability and constraints imposed by high Renewable Energy Source (RES) penetration.</p> <p>Coordinate with IPPs, DISCOs, NPWP and APSR to ensure seamless grid operation and regulatory adherence in the context of integrating intermittent generation.</p> <p>Focus on enhancing grid stability and security by analyzing system vulnerabilities related to RES integration and implementing tailored mitigation strategies.</p> <p>Direct the implementation of advanced control systems and technologies essential for managing distributed generation, grid resilience, and frequency/voltage support.</p> <p>Drive effective provision, integration, and optimization of ancillary services to ensure system reliability and efficient market operation.</p> <p>Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in operational processes, utilizing data analytics to identify optimization opportunities for grid control and minimizing operational risk.</p> <p>Analyze operational data to develop strategies specifically aimed at improving performance and efficiency in managing renewable-heavy and high-frequency dispatch scenarios.</p> <p>Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for grid operations that addresses the evolving energy landscape, new technologies, and the regulatory environment surrounding renewables.</p> <p>Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Operability Planning, Network Performance Management, and Settlement teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning focused on modern power system challenges.</p> <p>Job Qualifications and Experience</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.</p> <p>Professional Experience: </p> <p>Minimum of 7 years’ experience in large, interconnected power system operations in relevant field.</p> <p></p> <p></p>
