Job Description Job Title : Corporate Non-metallic Quality LeadPosition Number : UEQ14Department : Quality ManagementReports to : Quality Management System Head, UEQ1 Purpose of the Job The subject position ensures technical integrity of the non-metallic materials applied in subsurface and surface hydrocarbon production, processing and transportation systems throughout their design life. Dimensions Annual expenditure: The Quality Management discipline does not have an annual budget on which the job has a direct or indirect impact.Number of subordinates: Nil Critical Interfaces Project TeamsAsset TeamsPDO Technical Authorities & Function PersonnelLocal AgentsVendors (Vendor Assessment)Construction Contractors Experience/Qualifications/Competencies Needed The position requires to have extensive experience and training to be able to perform the functions as described below: B.Sc. / B.E. preferably in Mechanical EngineeringShall have at least 7 years QA/QC relevant experience in the manufacturing and installation of non-metallic materials within oil and gas industShall have broad knowledge in thermoplastics, Fiber reinforced thermoset & thermoplastics, Elstomers used in the construction of pipeline, piping, tanks, vessels, composite repair, PE / Roto lined pipeline / piping, down hole tubing etc.Familiar with non-metallic material (GRP/GRE/HDPE/RTP/ elastomers etc) manufacturing and installation process.Lead Assessor ISO 9000 family Standards (IRCA approved)Experience in 3rd and/or 2nd party quality system auditsExcellent knowledge in non-metallic material (NMM) qualification and testing.Experience of working to and fully conversant with international non-metallic codes used in Oil and Gas industries (ISO 14692, ISO 4427, API 15HR, API 15S, API 15LE, API 17J, etc)Demonstrable knowledge level of Flawless Project Delivery and Project Completion Systems.Able to review and interpret technical requirements in Contracts/Purchase OrdersMust be organized and able to multi-taskStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all levels within Projects/Assets/FunctionAble to use computer and programs (e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets as a minimum) for general business applicationsGood presenter with high convincing ability, good in generating reports and ability to mentor and teach non-metallic courses to engineers. Principal Accountabilities (The outputs of the job) Impelement QMS in all NMM Projects delivered in company.Support the Projects/Assets by providing technical assistance that is required to execute the Non-metallic material manufacturing/installation activities.Focal point for Quality Control activities of NMM construction within PDO including the qualification of the site installation personnelReview, comment and approve ITP’s, Method Statements, qualification procedures, special repair methods, Scope of work etc. pertaining to NMM.Support project / Asset teams in kick off meetings, Pre-Inspection meeting, design review meeting, concept selection etc. adding value to the project by sharing knowledge.Assess and approve NMM QCI & Supervisors through a structured written test and or interview.Witness / review ADHOC special qualification and be part of research work done by Material function as required.Standardize ITP’s, installation MS and other Quality documents used in NMM construction as much as possible.Lead/participate in compliance audits (Level 1/Level 2) related to non-metallic materials.Partcipate along with respective function teams in technical assessment of new vendor facility, their qualification and Approval.Participate and/or lead non-metallic incident investigations and evaluate descrepancies of product during manufacturing and construction.Review periodic performance of TPI contractors during manufacturing and construction.Provide coaching and training to GDP graduates in non-metallic materials QA/QC fieldShould be able or be a part in development of new specification and or update exisiting specification, procedure and implementation of best practices and lessons learnt.Serve on international standards writing bodies as the opportunity allows.Establish QMS for new NMM technologies / products that will be applied in the company as well as explore oppurtunities of cost saving where ever possible.Provide support to other disciplines within UEODProvide quality data/information to Quality Information Management Lead and Quality Management System Lead for continual improvement based on best practices and learningComply with Company HSE standards, Golden and Life Saving Rules Challenges Self motivator with the ability to engage and liaise with managers/engineers within Projects / Assets / Functions / Vendors / Contractors in order to ensure fit for service delivery and installation of GRE materials. Ability to lead and/or participate in Audit teams and provide detailed, concise reports. Ability to provide Technical assistance when it becomes apparent to the Project / Assets / Vendors and Contractors.
