<p>Management Responsibilities&nbsp;</p>
<p>• To participate in change management programs within the organization</p>
<p>• To participate in and lead improvement initiatives within the department</p>
<p>• To deal appropriately with complaints when necessary</p>
<p>• To assess risk, report incidents and participate in risk management processes</p>
<p>• To promote efficient and effective communication within the organization</p>
<p>• To foster interdepartmental liaison</p>
<p>• Supports the Chief Pharmacist in all improvement initiatives within the department.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Clinical Responsibilities&nbsp;</p>
<p>• Renders pharmacy services of the highest caliber in line with internationally accepted standards for the specialty.</p>
<p>• Performs duties through the out patient pharmacy or main pharmacy as scheduled by the Chief Pharmacist.</p>
<p>• To make supplies to other Sub-stores / Dispensing to In-patients or Out-patients according to the PPG and updated management instructions with proper counseling, as required.</p>
<p>• Bears responsibility for control of inventory and monitoring medication expiry dates in a timely fashion.</p>
<p>• Inspect medications stores regularly for proper storage conditions and ensure product stability in nursing units as scheduled.</p>
<p>• Medication bar-coding (at Main Pharmacy)&nbsp;</p>
<p>• Serves on hospital committees as requested.</p>
<p>• Such other duties as reasonably requested by the Chief Pharmacist or hospital management.</p>

<p>Education Responsibilities</p>
<p>• Demonstrate and affirm a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD/CME) activities and keep updated with current practices.</p>
<p>• Support the education and development of all staffs including visiting students.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>• Participate in the hospital’s mandatory training program.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Professional / Personal Responsibilities</p>
<p>• Must be conversant with MOH regulations and fully comply with the same in discharging his/her duties.</p>
<p>• Reports any discrepancies in receipt of stocks including variation in quantity or cold chain etc, immediately.&nbsp;</p>
<p>• Shares responsibility with colleagues in the maintenance, safety and security of Pharmacy in all respects and make suitable recommendations to the Chief Pharmacist.&nbsp;</p>
<p>• Participate in quality assurance programs as developed through the quality department</p>
<p>• To Acknowledge the codes of Muscat Private Hospital</p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;General&nbsp;</p>
<p>• This job description is not definitive and following periodic review may be subject to change. The post holder will be expected to be flexible to respond to change and organizational need.
