Advisor- Engineering, Airworthiness & MRO

<p>Role Objectives:</p>
<p>Oman Air is seeking a senior Technical Advisor to provide expert advisory support across airline engineering, airworthiness, and maintenance strategy. This role is suited to a highly experienced aviation professional who brings deep technical</p>
<p>judgement and the ability to advise executive leadership on complex engineering and regulatory matters.</p>

<p>General Responsibilities:</p>
<p>• Provide senior technical advisory input on airworthiness, CAMO governance, and regulatory compliance.</p>
<p>• Advice on engineering and maintenance strategy, including fleet maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and optimisation initiatives.</p>
<p>• Support evaluation of MRO, engine, and component contracts, including PBH and time-and-material arrangements.</p>
<p>• Provide technical insight on fleet induction, aircraft transitions, lease returns, and records readiness.</p>
<p>• Support regulatory reviews, audits, and technical recovery or transformation initiatives.</p>
<p>• Contribute to technical capability development through mentoring and knowledge transfer.</p>

<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>• Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</p>
<p>• Formal aviation technical training: professional aviation certifications are advantageous.</p>
<p>Required Experience</p>
<p>• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in airline engineering, airworthiness, CAMO, or MRO environments.</p>
<p>• Senior-level exposure to:</p>
<p>- Continuing airworthiness and regulatory frameworks.</p>
<p>- Engineering governance and maintenance planning.</p>
<p>- Fleet reliability, safety management, and technical risk.</p>
<p>- Engagement with aviation authorities, OEMs, lessors, and MRO providers.</p>
<p>• Experience across complex airline or multi-fleet operations is essential.</p>
<p>• Exposure to multiple regulatory regimes (e.g. EASA, GCAA, ICAO) is highly desirable.</p>

<p>• Strong technical judgement with the ability to challenge constructively.</p>
<p>• Deep understanding of airline maintenance economics and operational trade-offs.</p>
<p>• High credibility with regulators and senior airline leadership.</p>
<p>• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear executive-level advice.</p>
<p>Role Nature</p>
<p>• Senior advisory / expert role (non-operational).</p>
<p>• Engagement may be on a fixed-term, project, or retainer basis.</p>
<p>• Scope may evolve in line with Oman Air’s operational and transformation priorities.</p>
