Associate Professor (Nursing)

The Associate Professor will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality academic programs, research activities, and administrative tasks within the University. The holder of this position is expected to have expertise in a specialized area and possess excellent academic credentials. The responsibilities of the Associate Professor include research, teaching and learning, academic leadership, and community engagement. The Associate Professor will be expected to be committed to high-quality teaching and scholarship.

• Develop courses within the field of study.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate course/s as assigned by HoD.
• Design students’ assessments (theory and practice).
• Supervise and evaluate students Research Graduation Projects.
• Supervise, and evaluate students during clinical practice sessions and in the clinical areas where applicable.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Perform other administrative and academic duties as assigned by the HoD.
• Work in university/faculty committee such as curriculum, research, community engagement, etc.
• Conduct/publish research studies in relevant peer-reviewed journals.
• Remain current in the field of study.
• Promote collegiality among the members of work profession.
• Contribute to curriculum development/improvement, accreditation process, partnership, strategic planning, and quality management.
• Lead research projects and research teams.
• PhD in the field of specialization from a recognized university.
• The master’s and the bachelor’s degrees must be from the same specialization.
• Sufficient record of publications in peer reviewed/high-indexed journals.
• Working in a similar post for at least 2 years.
• Teaching/research experience for at least 5 years.

• تطوير المقررات الدراسية ضمن مجال التخصص.
• تدريس مقررات الدراسات العليا والبكالوريوس حسب توجيهات رئيس القسم.
• تصميم تقييمات الطلاب (نظريًا وعمليًا).
• الإشراف على مشاريع التخرج البحثية للطلاب وتقييمها.
• الإشراف على الطلاب وتقييمهم خلال جلسات التدريب السريري وفي الأقسام السريرية عند الاقتضاء.
• تقديم الإرشاد الأكاديمي للطلاب.
• القيام بمهام إدارية وأكاديمية أخرى يكلف بها رئيس القسم.
• المشاركة في لجان الجامعة/الكلية، مثل لجان المناهج الدراسية، والبحوث، والتواصل المجتمعي، وغيرها.
• إجراء ونشر دراسات بحثية في مجلات علمية محكمة ذات صلة.
• مواكبة أحدث التطورات في مجال التخصص.
• تعزيز روح الزمالة بين أعضاء المهنة.
• المساهمة في تطوير المناهج الدراسية وتحسينها، وعملية الاعتماد الأكاديمي، والشراكات، والتخطيط الاستراتيجي، وإدارة الجودة.
• قيادة المشاريع البحثية وفرق البحث.
• شهادة دكتوراه في مجال التخصص من جامعة معترف بها.
• يجب أن تكون شهادتا الماجستير والبكالوريوس في نفس التخصص.
• سجل منشورات كافٍ في مجلات محكمة/مفهرسة بدرجة عالية.
• خبرة في وظيفة مماثلة لمدة سنتين على الأقل.
• خبرة في التدريس/البحث لمدة خمس سنوات على الأقل.
