Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Typical responsibilities Maintain and develop overall project master schedule Identify the critical milestones and ensure appropriate actions are taken Assist project director, manager, or team leader in day-to-day planning and controlling of projects Liaise with all the project teams to ensure that the overall project progress is reported correctly and mitigation actions or recovery plans are developed for any significant variance from the plan Review and comment on the contractor project schedule Review the work of the contractor and company consultant, checking and certifying execution documentation and reports Ensure activities are performed in accordance with established company quality procedures, HSE codes and standards, and recognized industry standards Provide reporting to the project director as per the project calendar and company project controls procedures Development of local engineers and providing development programs to ensure capability in takeover of planning responsibilities Lead and manage a team of planning and project control engineers assigned in different projects or locations Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Experience Minimum 12 years of experience in similar projects Degree qualified with relevant certification Experience in refinery and petrochemical projects preferred Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques including logic and CPM analysis, resource loading, and levelling Proficient knowledge of project execution procedures for scheduling Proficient understanding of WBS and CBS structures and project reporting capabilities Ability to develop project schedules and plans Ability to prepare resource loading, progress, and staffing plans Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses, trending, and what-if scenarios Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques Good understanding of cost management, change control, planning, and risk analysis and management About the Company Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
