<p>Purpose of Job:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Lead and optimize instrumentation and control systems in the Concentrator Plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, while maintaining compliance with Mawarid Mining’s technical standards and enabling process improvement.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities:&nbsp;</p>
<p>1. Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with ISA/IEC standards and seamless integration with plant processes to achieve operational efficiency and safety.</p>
<p>2. Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation (e.g., flow, pressure, temperature, level) and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) to minimize downtime and support reliable operations.</p>
<p>3. Develop and manage preventive maintenance strategies and spare parts inventory to ensure long-term equipment reliability and availability.</p>
<p>4. Analyze process data and optimize control loops in collaboration with process engineers to improve throughput, stability, and energy efficiency.</p>
<p>5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct technical training for operations and maintenance teams to enhance workforce competency and ensure safe work practices.</p>
<p>6. Lead instrumentation-related projects, including upgrades and shutdown work, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.</p>
<p>7. Maintain accurate documentation of instrumentation systems, drawings, and software configurations to support audits, upgrades, and engineering reviews.</p>
<p>8. Support tuning of PID loops for improved process stability and energy efficiency.&nbsp;</p>
<p>9. Assist in improving instrumentation strategies to enhance copper recovery, flotation performance, and pump efficiency.</p>
<p>Principal Challenges:</p>
<p>1. Integrating modern systems with legacy infrastructure (e.g., PLCs, DCS, SCADA) across various operational areas without disrupting ongoing production.</p>
<p>2. Maintaining instrumentation reliability and accuracy in harsh environmental and process conditions while supporting continuous operations.</p>
<p>3. Balancing project demands and resource constraints while ensuring compliance, cost control, and long-term maintainability of systems.</p>
<p>Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification:</p>
<p>Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Control Systems, or related field</p>
<p>Minimum Work Experience:&nbsp;</p>
<p>Minimum 6-8 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, with at least 2 years in a mineral processing or concentrator plant.</p>
<p>Skills &amp; Competencies Required:</p>
<p>1. Advanced knowledge of instrumentation design, installation, diagnostics, and calibration.</p>
<p>2. Good knowledge of all Industrial communication protocol like Modbus TCP/IP, HART, RS232/RS485, Ethernet etc.</p>
<p>3. Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, especially Rockwell Automation, FactoryTalk View, and DC drives for Synchronous Motors.</p>
<p>4. Familiarity with smart instrumentation and sensors, including Belt scales, Mag flow meters, density meters, smart positioners, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.</p>
<p>5. Proficient in interpreting P&amp;IDs, control system schematics, and OEM manuals.</p>
<p>6. Awareness of ISA, IEC, and industrial safety standards related to instrumentation and automation.</p>
<p>7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interdepartmental coordination skills.</p>
<p>8. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.</p>
