MEP site engineer/draughtsman

Role Description The Engineer will work full time on-site in Masqaţ, Oman, overseeing and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations at project locations. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, preparing and updating MEP shop drawings and as-built drawings. The role involves monitoring daily site activities, inspecting work to ensure adherence to design, safety, and quality standards, and resolving technical issues in coordination with senior engineers and contractors. They will participate in site meetings, communicate progress and risks, maintain documentation, and assist in quantity take-offs and material submissions to support timely, compliant project delivery.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong on-site skills, including field supervision, coordination with contractors, and practical problem-solving in active construction environments.Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear reporting, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant technical qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline, or certified draughtsman training in MEP design.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with MEP design tools and standards.Understanding of local and international building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for MEP installations.Ability to work independently under site conditions, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.Prior experience in MEP site engineering or drafting for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
