KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the day-to-day Firefighting operations for the assigned site to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures
Overview and influencing the teams in order to ensure the optimization of OTTCO’s (as a system) in term of safety,
environment, production, and margin cost.
Coach and mentoring of Firefighting Operators in order to contribute with department on capacity building
Processes, and drive the agenda for continuous improvement.
Supervises and actively controls all Firefighting operations in close coordination with Unity Team.
Developed weekly / monthly reports
Implementation of Incident Command System and competencies.
Participate in the development of the emergency response and business continuity plans, continuously update, enhance, review and maintain the plans and pertaining documents to ensure they are up to date.
Plan and propose various awareness programs to encourage a work environment that values fire safety
Maintain up to date documentation on SOP’s, departmental plans (Emergency Response Plans, Business Continuity plans
etc.) for training purposes
Maintain on the ground presence during routine inspections, mock drills, and emergency scenario tests to observe and gather any feedback for improving the fire & safety policies and plans
Initiates emergency response in case of major incidents.
Decides and declares type of emergency to ensure that all emergencies are handled in the most effective and safe way.
Acts as the Operations Site Coordinator during plant upset / emergency situations.
Ensures all operations staff are familiar with their unit emergency procedures

Optimization

Reviews and analyses Firefighting parameters and performance and takes necessary action to ensure targets are met with minimum wastage and optimum cost.
Works with the unit supervisor to identify and eliminate unplanned flare sources and optimize utility usage QHSE.
risks associated with their risk.
Awareness of Emergency preparedness and response measures.
Awareness on implications of not conforming to the integrated managements system requirements, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Bachelors in Fire & Safety Management or relevant
+10 Years of relevant experience in similar role.
Exposure to and experience with all fire and safety equipment’s used in a refinery or petrochemicals
Demonstrated working experience in:
SOP interpretation
Refinery operations (Process, Static & Rotating Equipment)
HSE (Permit to Work – PTW, Confined Space, Process Safety, H2S Awareness, Basic Fire Fighting,
Emergency Response
Process Control
Troubleshooting
HSE (Permit to Work – PTW, Confined Space, Process Safety, H2S Awareness, Basic Fire Fighting,
Emergency Response
