Full-Stack Web Application Developer to join our team.We are looking for someone who can take a business requirement, understand the problem, propose the right technical solution, develop it cleanly, deploy it, and maintain it over time.The role involves both building custom business applications from scratch and customizing/integrating existing open-source systems.Core Technical SkillsCandidates should have strong practical experience with:* PHP* Laravel or similar PHP frameworks* JavaScript* HTML5 / CSS3* MySQL / MariaDB* SQL queries and database design* REST APIs / JSON* Git version control* Private/self-hosted Git repositories* Authentication and role-based access control* Responsive web application development* Linux server administration* Ubuntu Server* Apache and/or Nginx* SSH* Linux permissions and ownership* Application logs and troubleshooting* Basic server security and access-control practicesKey ResponsibilitiesThe selected developer will:* Design and develop web-based business applications* Develop backend applications using PHP/Laravel* Build responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript* Design, create and maintain SQL databases* Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services* Implement authentication, roles, permissions and access controls* Develop dashboards, reports, admin portals and internal business tools* Maintain and improve existing applications* Troubleshoot application, database and performance issues* Write clean, structured, documented and maintainable code* Use Git for source-code management* Test applications before deployment* Maintain appropriate development and production versions* Deploy, configure and maintain applications on Linux servers* Work with Apache/Nginx and the Linux environment supporting the applicationsOpen-Source DevelopmentThis is an important part of the position.The developer must be comfortable working with existing and unfamiliar open-source codebases, not only developing new applications.You should be capable of:* Installing and configuring open-source applications* Understanding unfamiliar codebases* Customizing existing software* Modifying source code when necessary* Developing modules, plugins, extensions and integrations* Integrating applications through APIs* Troubleshooting dependencies and compatibility issues* Upgrading applications while preserving approved customizations* Reviewing GitHub/GitLab repositories, releases, issues and technical documentation* Evaluating whether an open-source solution can be customized instead of unnecessarily building a system from scratch* Understanding basic GPL, MIT and Apache licensing conceptsLinux Server SkillsYou should be comfortable working directly with Linux servers and independently supporting the environment required by your applications, including:* SSH administration* Linux filesystem management* Users, groups, permissions and ownership* Packages and dependencies* Apache/Nginx and PHP configuration* Application services* Logs and troubleshooting* Cron jobs and scheduled tasks* Basic firewall/access settings* SSL certificates* Command-line troubleshooting* Backups and restores* Basic server security and hardeningAdvanced DevOps expertise is not required, but you must be capable of independently managing the Linux environment required for your applications.Application SecurityCandidates should understand practical web-application security, including:* SQL injection prevention* XSS* CSRF* Secure password storage* Authentication and authorization* Secure file uploads* API authentication* Session security* Input validation and sanitization* Secure handling of sensitive data, credentials and application secretsSource Code & Data ConfidentialityThis position requires strict compliance with company confidentiality and data-security requirements.Company applications, databases, credentials, configuration files, documentation and internal information must remain within company-controlled and approved infrastructure.Internal/proprietary source code must not be uploaded to public repositories or unauthorized cloud technical matters clearly to non-technical colleagues and be willing to learn new frameworks and technologies when required.A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is preferred, although candidates with strong practical development experience and an excellent portfolio will also be considered.3+ years of practical web-application development experience is preferred.Candidates should
