About the RoleOur client is looking for a Finance Director to be based in Muscat, Oman. As a Finance Director, you will provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the business, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and group standards. You will serve as a key business partner to country management, supporting commercial, operational, and financial decision-making across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Control - Lead all accounting, financial reporting, and control activities in accordance with Group standardsOversee: Balance Sheet management, Profit & Loss reporting, Cash Flow reporting, Accruals and prepayments, Account reconciliationsDeliver detailed business performance analysis and recommend corrective action plans where requiredBudgeting & Business Performance - Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with country and regional managementTax & Banking Management - Manage tax reporting and submissions in accordance with Omani regulations. Develop tax optimization strategies while ensuring full complianceCommercial & Operational Support - Support commercial teams in evaluating tenders and identifying financial, legal, and tax risks. Assist in costing, pricing, and contract reviewsTeam Leadership - Lead and develop a finance team of four professionals. Manage relationships with the Shared Service Center and key stakeholdersRequirementsDegree in Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineProfessional qualification preferred: CMA, Chartered Accountant (CA), ICWAI.
