Job Function The Assistant Vice Chancellor – Sur Campus is the chief executive representative of the University at Sur Campus and is responsible for the overall management and performance of the campus. The role ensures the implementation of university strategies, policies, and academic standards, and oversees academic, administrative, and financial operations at the campus level in coordination with the Deputy Vice Chancellors. Responsibilities Leadership: 1. Provide leadership in all academic, administrative, and financial matters at Sur Campus. 2. Implement the University’s strategy, policies, and operational plans at the campus level. 3. Lead campus development, growth, and strategic positioning within the region. 4. Foster student success, academic quality, and operational excellence. 5. Advise the Vice Chancellor on campus performance, challenges, and opportunities. Operations: 1. Oversee academic program delivery and administrative, financial, and support services in coordination with Deputy Vice Chancellors. 2. Ensure effective delivery of admission, registration, and student services. 3. Monitor campus performance, including academic, financial, and operational indicators. 4. Ensure compliance with university regulations and external requirements. 5. Oversee campus budgeting, resource utilization, and operational efficiency. 6. Ensure implementation of governance, risk, and audit requirements. 7. Submit periodic reports to the Vice Chancellor. External: 1. Represent the University at Sur Campus with government, industry, and community stakeholders. 2. Build partnerships that support academic programs and student development. 3. Promote the University’s image and engagement within the region. Any other duties assigned by the VC. Experience Minimum of ten years in higher education, with at least four years in senior leadership. Skills 1. Strong understanding of higher education, governance and regulations 2. Leadership and team management skills 3. Strategic planning and execution capability 4. Financial and operational management awareness 5. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 6. Ability to translate strategy into operational outcomes Qualification PhD in an academic field, from an accredited university, with a minimum rank of Associate Professor.
