Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the site workforce, ensuring high performance, discipline, and adherence to safety standards.Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across fertilizer plant equipment and utilities to ensure maximum plant reliability and operational efficiency.Plan preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities for rotating, static, and utility equipment.Optimize manpower allocation, resources, and maintenance schedules to improve productivity and minimize downtime.Establish performance targets, conduct team evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, statutory regulations, and plant safety procedures.Coordinate with production, engineering, contractors, and vendors to execute maintenance activities and meet operational targets.Manage maintenance budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.Serve as the primary point of contact for plant management and client representatives, ensuring timely resolution of operational and maintenance issues.Attend planning and review meetings, present maintenance performance, shutdown progress, and reliability improvement plans.
