Director/ Manager – Finance
Report to: Chief Executive Officer
Department: Finance

Role Purpose:
Lead and direct planning, implementation and management of financial strategy and fiscal responsibilities. Provide strategic inputs for the ASAAS business strategy, lead the creation the detailed business plan, and perform financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting for ASAAS and its subsidiaries in compliance with accounting standards. Provide advisory on investments from a financial standpoint and lead the process of securing funding for the ASAAS projects.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance:
• Act as an advisor to the ASAAS leadership on all Finance related matters
• Support in the creation of the Business Strategy from a financial standpoint and lead the creation of the detailed Business Plan for ASAAS in line with the strategic objectives
• Play a strategic role in assessing viabilities of investments and ensuring accessibility to funds to ASAAS and its subsidiaries
• Provide regular and ad-hoc executive-level support to the management, board of directors and any relevant
external authority on financial matters
• Lead the development of finance policies, processes, and procedures, in line with local regulations and leading international practices
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders such as Shareholders, Authorities and Banks
• Act as an advisor in critically evaluating new projects and all strategic initiatives from a financial and risk perspective
Financial Accounting:
• Lead the development of periodic financial statements, balance sheet, income statements, and other reports (Monthly, quarterly, annually) and share with internal and external stakeholders as needed to inform decision-making
• Lead all accounting activities in line with accounting standards and principles and oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
• Lead the management of timely reconciliation of all bank accounts
• Oversee the accurate processing of employee payroll and timely disbursing of due payments to vendors, suppliers, third-party consultants etc.
• Evaluate tax structure options available to the business and design and implement the most optimized structure to minimize tax liability for the business in line with the current tax framework
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax such as income tax, withholding tax, VAT etc.
• Oversee the management of all audit activities leading to the Annual AGM approvals of Financials
Corporate Finance:
• Lead the development and monitoring of the annual budget in collaboration with other departments in alignment with business plan
• Monitor financial plan on a periodic basis and oversee variances (surplus or deficit) between planned budget and actuals and forecasts to develop scope for cost optimization wherever possible
• Provide advisory in critically evaluating new projects and all strategic initiatives from a financial risk perspective
• Assist the top management and investors in decision making by leading development of financial models, financial forecasting, and analysis to recognize trends and business expansion opportunities
Treasury:
• Develop and implement processes and systems to effectively support the business by raising and deploying fund and manage and report cash flow
• Participate in securing funds/financial deals needed for business plan and operation of ASAAS and its subsidiaries
• Lead the initiation and negotiate for secure financing as required for the business and its projects
• Provide ad-hoc and as required advises on various business transactions and dealings
• Lead the development of monthly analysis report of cash flows to prepare monthly variance reports and capital expenditure reports
• Manage and maintain relationships with financial institutions and proactively seek new investors for ASAAS
System:
• Oversee and support continuous improvement in financial and reporting systems
• Lead the continuous improvement of financial processes and ensure implementation of any initiatives recommended by the risk and audit team
Portfolio Management
• Lead the asset portfolio monitoring for ASAAS.
• Oversee retail development and retail leasing activities to enhance returns from assets in accordance with the financial targets outlined.
• Ensure operationalization and effective management of the asset portfolios
• Overall management and supervision of the asset management and portfolio of ASAAS assets

Education:
Preferred MBA/M.Sc. or ACCA/CFA degree.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institutions in Finance, Business, Economics, or any equivalent degree.
Experience
15+ years’ experience in the field of finance Experience in development, investment, and real estate – preferred.
