Job Title: HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment Engineer) Reports To: HSE Manager / Operations Manager Job Details • Number of Vacancies: 3 Positions • Salary Range: OMR 500 – 620 per month • Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) Job Purpose The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. The role focuses on risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operations. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs. • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses (JSA). • Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and site walkthroughs. • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards. • Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors. • Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reporting systems. • Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities. • Monitor environmental performance and ensure proper waste management and pollution control practices. • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure safe work practices. • Recommend improvements to reduce risks and improve workplace safety culture. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. ________________________________________ Experience • Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) • Internship or academic experience in HSE or safety-related activities is an advantage. ________________________________________ Technical Skills • Basic understanding of HSE management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001). • Awareness of risk assessment and safety procedures. • Basic knowledge of incident reporting and investigation methods. • Ability to assist in safety inspections and training activities. • Understanding of environmental compliance concepts. • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools. ________________________________________ Soft Skills • Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision. • Basic problem-solving mindset. ________________________________________ Working Conditions • Office, field, and site-based environments. • May require site inspections and participation in safety drills and emergency situations.
