Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesMinimum 10–15 years of professional experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, power generationor large-scale industrial projects.Minimum 5–7 years of direct site experience in renewable energy projects.Proven experience supervising site works for utility-scale renewable energy projects, preferably above 200MWStrong experience managing EPC Contractors and multiple subcontractors in live constructionenvironments.Experience in remote, desert, harsh-climate or logistically complex project sites is highly desirable..5.2 Technology-Specific ExperienceCandidates should have strong practical site experience in at least one of the following technologies, withpreference for candidates experienced in all three:WindOnshore wind farm construction, including roads, access tracks, crane pads, WTG foundations andhardstands.Wind turbine component logistics, heavy transport, unloading, storage and lifting coordination.WTG erection activities, including main crane coordination, mechanical completion and precommissioning support.MV collection systems, inter-array cabling, fibre optics, earthing and substation interfaces.Strong understanding of wind-related construction constraints, lifting windows and weather-dependentexecution planning.Experience coordinating WTG OEM activities and Balance of Plant contractors.Solar PVUtility-scale PV site construction, including grading, piling, tracker installation, module installation andcabling.DC works, combiner boxes, string testing, inverter stations, MV stations, transformers and SCADAinterfaces.Experience managing large PV installation fronts and high-volume manpower/productivity monitoring.Understanding of PV quality issues, including module handling, torqueing, cable management, trackeralignment and punch list closure.Renewable Energy Site Manager recruitment requirementsSupport to energization, capacity testing, performance testing and reliability run readiness.BESSUtility-scale BESS installation, including battery containers, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear and auxiliarysystems.Coordination of BESS foundations, container placement, fire detection and suppression systems,communications and controls.Understanding of BESS safety requirements, restricted access, energization risks and emergency responsecoordination.Support to BMS, EMS, PCS, SCADA, functional testing, capacity testing and commissioning readiness.Experience with hybrid renewable projects integrating PV, Wind and BESS is preferred.Site Execution CompetenciesAbility to read and understand construction drawings, IFC packages, method statements, inspection andtest plans, and technical specifications.Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, access planning, logistics, site mobilization and work frontmanagement.Ability to monitor daily productivity, identify bottle necks, and drive corrective actions with contractors.Experience in managing large site teams, multiple subcontractors and parallel work fronts.Strong understanding of civil, electrical, mechanical and controls interfaces in renewable energy projects.Practical understanding of mechanical completion, punch list closure, handover dossiers andcommissioning readiness.Ability to enforce site discipline, permit-to-work requirements, method statement compliance and stopwork authority where required.Strong site reporting discipline, including daily reports, progress updates, photographs, constraints logsand action trackers.HSE RequirementsStrong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance on large construction sites.Proven experience enforcing HSE requirements for lifting operations, working at height, electrical works,excavation, heavy transport, hot works, confined spaces and energization activities.Ability to participate in or lead toolbox talks, safety walks, site inspections, incident reviews and correctiveaction follow-up.Understanding of permit-to-work systems, lock-out/tag-out, energization procedures, exclusion zones andemergency response plans.Ability to challenge unsafe practices and stop unsafe work when necessary.Experience coordinating with HSE Managers and contractor HSE teams to improve site safety culture andcompliance.Quality and enviromental RequirementsExperience monitoring site quality against approved ITPs, method statements, drawings and specifications.Ability to coordinate inspections, witness points, hold points and acceptance of completed works.Renewable Energy Site Manager recruitment requirementsExperience managing NCRs, site observations, punch lists and corrective action closure.Understanding of quality risks in civil works, electrical installation, mechanical installation, cabling,earthing, module handling, WTG installation and BESS installation.Ability to verify that works are ready for inspection, mechanical completion and commissioning handover.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify poor workmanship or non-compliant installation practices.Knowledge of environmental issues.Project Controls and ReportingPrepare or contribute to daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.Track actual progress against baseline schedule and short-term look-ahead programmes.Monitor manpower, equipment, material availability, construction productivity and work front readiness.Maintain issue logs, constraints logs, interface registers, site action trackers and punch list status.Support progress measurement, milestone verification and contractor payment assessment whererequired.Use project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI or similar reportingplatforms as applicable.Escalate delays, resource shortages, access constraints, quality issues, HSE concerns and interfaceconflicts in a timely manner.Contractual and Commercial AwarenessUnderstand site obligations under EPC contracts, technical specifications, HSE plans, quality plans andproject procedures.Identify events that may lead to delays, claims, variations, disruption, rework or non-compliance.Maintain accurate site records to support contractual positions, claims defence and change management.Coordinate with the Project Manager, Contract Manager and Quantity Surveyor on site instructions,variations and contractor notices.Understand the importance of milestone dates, mechanical completion, commissioning, COD, liquidateddamages and acceptance requirements.Avoid issuing informal instructions that may create unintended contractual or commercial exposure.
