The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing invoices, and reconciling bank and account statements. Responsibilities include supporting month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial reports, monitoring payable and receivable accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant financial regulations. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, cost tracking for tours and transportation services, and providing financial data to management to support pricing and operational decisions. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure accurate, timely financial information and support smooth business processes.Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and account reconciliation, with the ability to maintain accurate and organized records.Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and basic financial analysis tools.Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, ideally with experience in service-based or travel and tourism industries.Understanding of local financial regulations, tax principles, and compliance requirements relevant to business operations in Oman.Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operations, management, and external partners.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within travel, transportation, events, or similar service sectors.
