Accounting Intern

Job Description
We are an early-stage Omani e-commerce startup preparing for launch in the local market. We are looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to support our finance and administrative activities during the launch preparation phase.
This role is suitable for a fresh graduate who wants practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, expense tracking, invoicing, financial records, and startup operations. The intern will work closely with the founders and support the business in keeping financial information organized and accurate.

Main Responsibilities
Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial record keeping
Track daily expenses, invoices, receipts, and payments
Help organize supplier, service provider, and operational cost records
Support with preparing simple financial summaries and reports
Assist in tracking budgets and startup-related expenses
Help maintain organized files for accounting and administrative documents
Support invoice preparation and payment follow-ups when needed
Assist with Excel sheets and financial templates
Coordinate with the founder on finance-related tasks
Support general administrative work when required

Requirements
Fresh graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Understanding of accounting principles
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to handle records and documents carefully
Good communication skills in Arabic and English
Willingness to learn and work in a startup environment
Reliable, responsible, and able to complete assigned tasks on time

Preferred Skills
Basic bookkeeping knowledge
Experience using Excel for financial tracking
Familiarity with invoices, receipts, and expense reports
Basic knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems is a plus
Interest in startups, e-commerce, and digital platforms

Location
This is an on-site internship at our office in the SME Authority Building, Al Khuwair, Muscat.
