Mine Technical Superintendent will develop operational plans
leveraging strong stakeholder, resource and change management skills.​Operations-Establish, lead and
execute the short, medium- and long-term plans for the mine's operations, in
line with the Company's strategic plan.Collaboratively
support the exploration, geological, mining, metallurgical, product quality,
logistics and support processes to ensure efficient and effective production
outcomes.Oversee, and actively
participate in, monitoring and reporting progress against the Mine Schedule and
key operational KPIs.Develop, implement,
monitor and review a ground water management and mine de-watering plan.Develop, implement
and manage a drill and blast design for the mine.Develop and deliver a
ground control management plan, including a comprehensive implementation and
maintenance plan to optimise operational capacity and productivity.Develop and implement
operational improvements to increase productivity, quality and reduce costs.People -Manage the people
within the operations by creating a culture of performance excellence and
continuous improvement; ensuring development and implementation of goals,
objectives and priorities for all staff.Promote a culture of
awareness and commitment to safe working and compliant environmental practices
amongst all employees, which enable a healthy and accident-free working
environment.Involve staff in
continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production, recoveries and
operating costs, and minimise plant downtime.Manage the team
through all aspects of project delivery including change management, schedule
management, quality and risk management.Implement through
education, training, reinforcement, support and management procedures that
facilitate a safe workplace for all stakeholders. Ensure all staff are aware of
their individual HSE responsibilities. Make available resources for the
investigation of incidents and effective injury management principles are
implemented to return injured workers to the workplace as soon as possible.RequirementsEducation-Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or relative Engineering
major is requiredCorporate member of a recognised mining related professional
organization is an advantageExpereince-8  years of experience in the Mining industry and a
minimum 5 years of experience in a technical superintendent position.Skills- Competent user of Microsoft office packages as well as mine
modelling software (Surpac, Vulcan etc.)Strong ability to communicate technical information to all work
groupsA track record of success in delivering resource development
outcomesA demonstrable strong commitment to safety, health, environment
and community, possessing cultural awareness and sensitivity.Proven positive leadership style which inspires and develops the team to
achieve the desired results collaboratively.
