Job Title: Credit Enhancement & Control
Main role (Overall accountability)
Independent and detailed review of Credit Proposals and other credit related Memos covering analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis, credit assessment, compliance with internal policies of the Bank and external regulations as applicable and preparing Credit review note.
Principal Accountabilities
• To review Credit proposals and Memos initiated by various functions of Bank including Large Corporate, Project Finance, SME, Overseas branches, Meethaq Corporate Banking, Country/Bank limits and provide independent review/ feedback.
• To ensure that the credit proposal meets all the credit criteria as per the Credit Policy of the Bank and other internal processes as applicable.
• To ensure the credit proposal is in compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines of CBO, CMA, Commercial Law, SAMA (Saudi Central Bank Regulation) etc
• Analysis of Financial Statements of borrower, various financial ratios, cash flows, projections, presented in the Credit Proposals /Memos and checking compliance with the covenants and conditions.
• Evaluation of Working capital and Term loan limit assessment proposed in the credit proposal.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers and guide them on credit review and improving the quality of credit proposals.
• Adherence to the SLA for review of credit proposals and other tasks assigned.
• Coordinating with internal departments such as CAD, RMD, Audit, Legal & Compliance.
• Follow up with Relationship team for limit expired cases.
• Other works/responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Personal Specifications
• Graduate in Finance/CA/CFA/ACCA/MBA Finance.
• Work Experience of 5+ years in Banking Industry in the areas of Credit Underwriting /Credit review / Financial Analysis /Corporate Lending/Corporate Risk Management
• Strong understanding of Credit practices/Credit Admin process/Audit Process/ Banking law/Commercial law /Central Bank circulars/banking products including Treasury and Trade finance
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office – especially in MS Word, PPT and Excel.
