Maintenance Engineer – Female Students Residence

Position: Maintenance Engineer – Female Students Residence
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering tasks and overseeing maintenance activities related to the female students’ residential facilities at Dhofar University in close coordination with the Department of Female Students Residency (DFSR)

Requirements:
• Female Omani national
• Sound knowledge of Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Office to be stationed in Dormitory
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Liaise with the Hostel Department daily regarding issues related to maintenance of hostel facilities and services.
• Attending meetings with Administrative Affairs, Hostel Department and other related departments concerning hostel maintenance and facilities
• Prepare reports, compile relevant data, and assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets for hostel facilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time by the Director or higher authorities.

Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in building maintenance & hostel facilities is preferable.
• IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is preferable.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Knowledge and awareness of safety standards
• ‘IOSH Managing Safely’ certificate or similar safety-related certificate is preferable.
• Familiar with Excell & AutoCAD
