Professor (Artificial Intelligence)

Job Overview:
The College of Engineering at the University of Buraimi invites applications for a Full Professor position in Artificial Intelligence (AI). We seek an internationally recognized scholar with a proven record of excellence in research, teaching, academic leadership and service. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing AI education, research and foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the college and the wider university.
Responsibilities and Duties:
 Design, develop, and deliver lectures and course materials at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on but not limited to the following domains: Machine Learning and Deep Learning, AI for Robotics and Autonomous Systems, AI in Engineering Design and Optimization, Computer Vision and Signal Processing, AI for Smart Infrastructure and Intelligent Systems, Ethical and Responsible AI, and Human-AI Interaction and Systems Integration.
 Serve as a principal investigator or leading a research team
 Generate research outputs that meet or exceed national standards and aim to establish an international profile.
 Perform other enterprise and innovation tasks as directed by the College Dean
 Supervise graduate and undergraduate students and researchers.
 Perform other duties as assigned by the program chair or the College Dean.

General Requirements:
 A Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field from a recognized university
 A minimum of 10 years of relevant academic, research, or industry experience following the Ph.D., including at least 3–5 years at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent
 An internationally recognized track record of scholarly research, with publications in high-impact journals and conferences.
 Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and postgraduate supervision.
 Proven ability to secure competitive research funding and lead research teams or interdisciplinary projects.
 Evidence of academic leadership and active contribution to institutional or professional service
 Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
 Experience in the field or industry related to the department or program

 أداء أي مهام أخرى يكلفه بها مشرف البرنامج أو عميد الكلية.
المتطلبات العامة:
 درجة الدكتوراه في الذكاء الاصطناعي أو مجال وثيق الصلة من جامعة معترف بها.
 ما لا يقل عن 10 سنوات من الخبرة الأكاديمية أو البحثية أو الصناعية ذات الصلة بعد الحصول على درجة الدكتوراه، بما في ذلك ما لا يقل عن 3-5 سنوات برتبة أستاذ مشارك أو ما يعادلها
  سجل حافل بالأبحاث العلمية المعترف بها دوليًا، مع منشورات في مجلات ومؤتمرات عالية التأثير.
 أثبت تميزه في التدريس وتطوير المناهج والإشراف على الدراسات العليا
 القدرة المؤكدة على تأمين تمويل بحثي تنافسي وقيادة فرق البحث أو المشاريع متعددة التخصصات
 دليل على القيادة الأكاديمية والمساهمة الفعالة في الخدمة المؤسسية أو المهنية.
 مهارات ممتازة في حل المشكلات واتخاذ القرارات.
 خبرة في المجال أو الصناعة المتعلقة بالقسم أو البرنامج
 الأولوية للعمانيين.
