Arab Open University – Oman invites Omani applications for the following academic position, with appointment effective from the First Academic Semester of the Academic Year 2026–2027, as follows:
Assistant Lecturer in English Language – Foundation Studies Unit
Number of Vacancies (2)
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• A minimum bachelor’s degree in teaching English, Linguistics, or Literature (preferably with a recognized teaching qualification such as CELTA, TEFL, TEFLA, or equivalent).
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• English proficiency demonstrated by IELTS Band 6.5 or TOEFL Paper 575 / TOEFL iBT 90–91.
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office, Internet, and email applications.
• At least two years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
• Research or publications in ESL/EFL are preferred.

يشترط في المتقدمين ما يلي:
الحصول على درجة البكالوريوس كحد أدنى في تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية أو اللغويات أو الأدب الإنجليزي، ويفضل وجود مؤهل تدريسي معترف به مثل:
CELTA أو TEFL أو TEFLA أو ما يعادلها.
ألا يقل المعدل التراكمي عن 3.0.
إثبات الكفاءة في اللغة الإنجليزية من خلال:
IELTS بدرجة 6.5 على الأقل،
أو
TOEFL الورقي بدرجة 575،
أو
TOEFL iBT بدرجة 90–91.
إجادة استخدام الحاسب الآلي، بما في ذلك:
برامج Microsoft Office، والإنترنت، والبريد الإلكتروني.
خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في التدريس على مستوى التعليم العالي.
يُفضل وجود أبحاث أو منشورات في مجال تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثانية أو أجنبية (ESL/EFL).
